Taylor M. Hutchins

Taylor earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2013.  He completed externships at the SLC VA Hospital and with Dr. Caywood and Winward, Utah County Optometric Physicians. Upon graduation, he was employed by Southwestern Eye Center from July 2013 to August 2016 where he provided comprehensive medical eye care and surgery co-management for cataract, glaucoma, oculoplastic and retina specialists in Safford and Willcox Arizona.  During his time in the Gila Valley he enjoyed being a member of the Eastern Arizona College Sports Medicine Advisory Team fueling a special interest in Sports Vision. Taylor is fluent in Spanish and enjoys bringing diabetic eye care to underserved populations in Mexico. He is a singer/songwriter/guitar player. He is a sports enthusiast who loves playing and watching Basketball, Football, and Baseball. He and his beautiful wife Jillian have two boys and two girls. Dr. Hutchins has worked for VQ Learning Sports Rehab in Tucson http://vqlsr.com/ with a focus on Neuro-Visual Training and research relating to concussion prevention and rehabilitation. He has also worked part time with Retina Specialist Diego Calonje, M.D and the Global Vision Foundation. He is self employed as a contract Optometrist and Director of Neuro-Visual Performance for Eyezone Training, PLLC and resides in Marana, Arizona.
